To support l.D. children 'Vasavi Vikasa' Service Programme Launched
donated to specialschools recognized by Government of India by Vasavi Clubs. For this purpose a unique service programme by name 'Vasavi Vikasa' has been launched to support children suffering with Intellectual Disabilities.
Four categories of TLM kits for 0-3 year earlyintervention group, 4-6 years pre-primary group,7-11years primary group, 12-18 years secondary group were purchased from National Institute for the people with Intellectual Disabiities- NIEPID- and donated to various special schools in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh,Tamil Nadu,Karnataka,Maharastra and Odisha states.
We were informed that many special schools with ID required Teacher Kits to impart education to the children.In the absence oflearning kits, the special teachers have been facing difficulty in teaching.Learnt about this Vasavi Clubs International leadership has been launched Vasavi Vikasa programme.
Ground level clubs were informed through VCI officialnews magazine Vasavi News and its daily YouTube news channel. After beingmotivated the club presidents came forward to donate the TLM kits to needy schools. NIEPED provided the list of special schools located in various states recognized by the Government of India. Then TLM kits were dispatched from Hyderabad to the local branches and the local clubs got connected with special school managements to receive kits. Vasavi Vikasa service programme still has been continuing to empower chi dren with Intellectual Disabilities.
